We are in Paris !

After a long and sleepless flight last night, we arrived in Paris early this morning.  We caught a shuttle from the airport to our hotel, with hopes that they would let us check in early, they did !  We laid down for a few hours and then got up and went sight seeing.  We walked to Rue Cler, which is a outdoor market.  They had produce, fresh fish, flowers, chocolates and many other great looking things.  We realized very quickly that is was going to take a lot of will power and restraint to not eat every pastry or bread we saw, they all looked so good !  We then walked to the Effiel Tower.  It was a beautiful day here, about 50 degrees, so it was a nice walk.  We went up the Effiel tower to the observing deck.  It was amazing !  We didn't realize how big the city was until we were up there.  We stayed there awhile and took pictures and walked around the park beside it.  We soaked in every moment of it and were realized how grateful we are that God chose us for each other.  The busy life with our family and business often make our time alone few and far between, so it was great having the day to prepare, focus and enjoy being with each other.  On a side note, it was hilarious for me to stand back and watch Russie say "Bonjour" to everyone we talked to, it was cracking me up.  We were plesed to find out that there are many people here who speak both french and English, so we have not ran into any problems not knwoing the launguage yet. Probably the most surprising thing to us about the city was how quiet it is, almost at times, awkward how quiet it is, because you think there should be more sound form such a big city.  When you are walking on the streets there are times, your voices are the loudest thing you hear.  It didnt take long for me to get used to this though, and that is one of the things I like best about it.   We ate dinner at a great little cafe that we stumbled upon.  We started out with french onion soup and it was great !  Everything we ate there was so good, but we were hurting a little when we left because we could not stop eating the bread.  It put a whole new meaning to french bagette for us, it was incredible.

I know Shay will ask me about the food, so these food pictures are for you.  Russie had beef tenderloin and I had Sea bass with a Lime butter, they were both really good !  We have one more day here and then we will be leaving for Kiev early Tuesday morning.
Our hearts are growing more and more anxious everyday and we know that we are close to seeing the girls again.  They are anxious for our arrival and are counting down the days until we get there. We are praying for this to be a very special time for us to get to know the girls even better and so we can see where they are coming from to appreciate where they are going even more !  Our hearts are open and we are excited to see what God will do !
