This is the group of friends ( with the exception of a few girls ) that our girls are leaving behind, Anslee and Vika are both a part of this group, Vika is taking the picture. |
In about 20 minutes, we are headed to the orphanage to have a party for the girls to say goodbye to all their friends. We know it will be emotional and hard for them, as they are leaving the only family they have had for the past 6 years. These girls are like sisters and are so close. We are going to miss these girls and we have only known them a short time. We ordered 10 pizzas ( any guesses on how much 10 pizzas cost us? Think about it and I will give you the answer in my next post, put your guesses in the comment section, if you are reading this and live in Ukraine, you are not allowed to guess !!! ) to pick up on our way, and we have gotten cake, chips, and juice to take as well. All the girls in the group know we are having a party for them, except our girls. We are hoping it will be a great night for them. This will be the last night they will spend in the orphanage, and we will pick them up in the morning after their friends have left for school, today was there last day of school. They told us, that there will be no tears shed at school today, but lots of tears when they leave their groupa ( Russian word for group) We told them we think they are very brave for leaving everything they have known for the past 14 years and going to America with us, we told them we are proud of them. I will post more pictures and details later of their party. Please keep them in your prayers today, that their goodbyes to all their friends goes well.
We will be thinking of you guys. It will be very hard, but you will get through it. Focus on your girls and how you are helping them. Pray for the others and let God help them. Have a safe trip back to Kiev!!
ReplyDeleteWe will be praying for you all! We Love you guys! Please give Artyr a huge hug if you see him today, and tell him we'll be back in one week! Can we answer the pizza question, because we don't live in Ukraine?
